Great pizza but:
The saga of the sausage, pepper and onion sandwich. My girlfriend and I were at Heist for lunch yesterday, we ordered a sausage, pepper and onion sandwich to share with an extra house salad.
The server brought the sandwich out on one plate uncut and stated the chef could not cut the sandwich because it would ruin the aesthetics of the sandwich.
We stated we want to share it and needed for it to be cut and asked for a knife. The server then brought a packet of plastic utensils.
We then removed both of the link sausages from the roll, handled the plate back to the server and asked him to have the chef cut it.
The server then returned with the roll still uncut and a knife along side it and had us cut it ourself which we did and handed the knife back to the server.
The taste of the sandwich was great but the service was terrible and unbelievable. We reported it to the day manager on our exit, he shrugged, shook his head a few times, apologized, and asked us how the sandwich tasted.
We have been to the Heist several times for the pizza, we have always sat at the bar and had no issues being served.
Will we go back to the Heist for pizza? At this point I am not sure, I hope this gets back to the owner, perhaps he will offer us an incentive to try again and take steps to remedy this so it won't happen again to anyone else.
Review about: Poor Service.
